What a year it’s been for Seth Glier. His sophomore release “The Next Right Thing” came out in January and things have just been getting better and better.

  • Seth returns to NYC for his biggest show yet!
    On Sept. 8th, Seth joins the intrepid singer songwriter with the voice that launched a thousand weddings (courtesy of his Top 5 single “I’ll Be”,) Edwin McCain at NYC's B.B. Kings Blues Club on Thursday, September 8th.

    Edwin appears on the track “I Don’t Need You” on Seth’s THE NEXT RIGHT THING and since then the pair have been touring together just about every chance they get. Seth & Edwin have been performing together on the road and are also collaborating on new material.

  • USA TODAY Premieres Seth’s “Walk Katie Home” Music Video
    USA TODAY, the national American daily newspaper with the widest circulated print newspaper in the United States (1.8 Million), premiered Seth Glier’s “Walk Katie Home” video as their “Pick Of the Week”.

    Featured on their website and in the print edition, USA Today calls Glier a “folk/pop troubadour” and says that his “melody… is the real thing” Read our press release about the gorgeous video, created by award-winning director Tom Moore, and watch it on Seth’s YouTube Channel.

  • Seth Wins Independent Music Award

    Glier was announced as the winner of the 2011 Independent Music Awards Song Writing Category “Love Song” for his track “Naia” from his MPress Records debut “The Trouble With People”.

    Summer Festival Season 2011

    Seth has had a strong festival season this summer, earning main stage slots at every event and performing with an ever-growing list of genre heavy hitters.

    Glier performed at the following festivals this past summer, and just closed out the season at the Kerrville Wine & Music Festival on Sept 3rd.

    Seth Glier joins Brooklyn’s indies The Paper Raincoat, American Idol finalist Caleb Hawley, acclaimed Verve artist Lucy Woodward, 2011 Grammy nominee Dave Eggar, emerging Broadway composer and lyricist Michelle Citrin and more on New Arrivals Vol. 4: Artists Against Youth Homelessness. His critically acclaimed track “Lauralee” can be found on MPress Record’ charity compilation that benefits The National Network For Youth (NN4Y), whose mission is to champion the needs of runaway, homeless or other disconnected teens.

    BLURT Magazine Premieres “The Next Right Thing” Music Video

    On May 15, 2011, BLURT a quarterly magazine and multimedia website featured Seth’s music video for the title track “The Next Right Thing”. Directed by Zack Sweeney in the streets and subways of NYC, the video emulates the theme of the song with its organic feel and speaks to the simple yet powerful message of the song, which CULTURE MOB says “immediately resonates with its very present percussion and soulful, incendiary vocals.”

    BLURT also ran a fantastic review of the record, 7 starts and raving “…this material sounds like nothing if not classics in waiting… it’s the essence of perfection.” Read the entire glowing review here.


    “Walk Katie Home” a LIVE Shoot The Player video

    On April 18, 2011, The Album Project premiered Seth's LIVE Shoot The Player video for “Walk Katie Home”. Shot in Greenpoint Brooklyn at the lovely Shayz Lounge by the super talented team at Shoot The Player. Check out the beautiful live version here.


    Sharing The Stage

    2011 has been a year of great opening slots for Glier. Kicking off the year with a CD release tour that saw him performing with on of his mentors Livingston Taylor, and taking him out on the road with Ani DiFranco, Edwin McCain, Toad the Wet Sprocket, and David Wilcox. The remainder of 2011 has Seth opening for Willy Porter, Peter Yarrow (of Peter, Paul & Mary), and Ellis Paul. Many more great opening slots lining up right now for 2012.


    The Next Right Thing at Radio

    With a campaign that started back in early January, THE NEXT RIGHT THING has made some waves on terrestrial and online radio. Bursting out on the charts within the first few weeks of the campaign, the album peaked on the CMJ Top 200 chart at #192, #102 on the FMQB Public Break-out chart and had a total of 20 charters across the college format. Some of which include:

  • WMCO in New Concord, OH (#1)
  • KTCU in Fort Worth, TX (#9)
  • WRSU in New Brunswick, NJ (#16)
  • KVMR in Nevada City, CA (#22)
  • The record has been added to over 150 stations across college, non-commerical & commerical radio formats, receiving lots of reported airplay at core stations like:

  • WNRN in Charlottesville, VA
  • WCBE in Columbus, OH
  • WFUV in Bronx, NY
  • KXCI in Tuscon, AZ,
