Her soulful sound was embraced by fans, and propelled her to the top of the charts. In 2006 she won 5 prestigious Grammy awards, tying the record for the most wins by a female artist in a single night. However her success only fueled her rebellious nature. The deadly concoction of drugs and alcohol combined with the pressures of stardom eventually led to a Fallen Star.
