These are "Raw" LIVE recordings of great historic interest but not exactly wonderful Hi Fi sound quality. However, in this unique case historic interest and musical content was judged to be of such importance that it overshadows that at the end of the day these recordings are very RAW! What you have here are the only 'Live' recordings in existence of the very first ATOMIC ROOSTER from 1970 at The Paris Theatre, London and featuring JOHN DU CANN, VINCENT CRANE and CARL PALMER. Palmer then leaves to form EMERSON LAKE AND PALMER and 1971's recordings once again at The Paris Theatre, London feature Du Cann, Crane and new boy PAUL HAMMOND on drums. This classic line up achieved considerable commercial success over the next decade before the untimely deaths of both Crane and Hammond brought that chapter of Atomic Rooster to a final close. John Du Cann has sat on these tapes for nearly 30 years waiting until now to release same.
