Both bands are known worldwide within the underground Death Metal scene. MERCYLESS started their unholy journey in 1987 and since then kept on spitting on everything deemed holy while AVULSED started their gore frenzy in 1991. Ever since their inception, both bands always meant a lot to the underground with, for MERCYLESS, both their 1992 debut "Abject Offerings" and 1993's follow-up "Coloured Funeral" that took the scene by surprise with the great musicianship on display and a world-class production and, for AVULSED, both a gory, catchy and relentless debut EP, 1994's "Carnivoracity", and an even more catchy, groovy yet darker debut full-length, 1996's "Eminence in Putrescence". Fast forward to 2016, AVULSED released "Deathgeneration", a compilation of re-recordings of tracks from their whole carreer for their fans' absolute delight while MERCYLESS released "Pathetic Divinity", their highly-praised sixth studio full-length. Both bands are touring Europe in April 2017 (with Savage Annihilation) and have decided to team for an already cult collector split single, both bringing forth the good ol' Metal ov Death showcasing how good both were since their very first day and how awesome they've become decades after, re-recording a track from their early days each.
