Belinda Carlisle's solo career rocketed and then after Greatest Hits where does she go? Collaboration with Charlotte Caffey and being more involved with all aspects on the album. 'Live Your Life Be Free' came and delivered, so was it time to move on back to stripped back recording. Sad songs are her preference, being a mother and now part of middle class America, she used to go clubbing every night, the riots changed so much and the tension in LA. Social comment and family values from the punk turned pop singer. Very honest opinions and keeping in touch with 'unseasoned musicians'. So many musicians use the phase the band 'wasn't fun anymore'.. was it like that in the GoGo's.... She became very critical of her self.. be opinionated about her music.. Belinda supports Greepeace, Animal Rights and AIDS Organisations. 'Knowledge is Power', she is so aware of celebrity causes... use your name. Has she toughened over the years... her career has not been perfect... her thoughts on shallow people in the music business... voice range, growing up musically... real openness and to prove the point she is still performing today.
