Later the elder statesman of bluegrass, Bill Monroe's stature was universally recognized by the '70s. He was still making fine music, and attracting the cream of the young musicians. This set includes the 'Bean Blossom' album, as well as eight other original MCA/Decca LPs. The 'Uncle Pen' album, included here, is generally recognized as one of his all-time best.
