EVEN AS WE SPEAK formed in Sydney in 1986. Resisting neat labels, the band's music is a quirky hybrid of accessible pop, ironic interjections, and experimental moments. They came to the attention of BBC Radio 1 DJ JOHN PEEL, racking up 3 Peel Sessions and a Goodier session during their brief and prolific stay in the UK. Subsequent releases on SARAH RECORDS achieved multiple top 10 positions in the NME and Melody Maker charts. Recent interest has seen the band reform for NYC PopFest in 2016, re-release their Peel Sessions, and create a new EP 'The Black Forest' (Emotional Response). Remastered with new artwork, Emotional Response are proud to present the highly anticipated 25-year reissue of the band's lone and iconic 1993 album Feral Pop Frenzy.
