GOATFUNERAL... Yantit and Blutkehle M.Roth teamed up under this banner in 2006. Until 2016, both used the synonyms ISAAC GOATEN and VON BLUTSTEYN. They chose to use synonyms due to the foreseeable prejudice of certain "people", which would have contradicted GOATFUNERAL's fundamental intension, because this is what it is all about: serious, old-school black metal with serious lyrics. Back in 2007, GOATFUNERAL recorded the demo "goat commando". This demo only featured one 3-minutes-long song, and should be the only one if its kind. It remained unreleased and only a few selected lunatics got to hear it. The first official outing in 2008 was a split CD with the German black metal band DIES FYCK. From this point on, Markus Stock supervised the band at his own Klangschmiede Studio E, where he is the band's partner in crime in terms of the mix and mastering till this day. GOATFUNERAL always took care of the recordings themselves, by the way. A year later, the band released its debut album entitled "Bastion Lucifer ", followed by two contributions to the 4-split CD "Thuringian Supremacy Vol. 1" with DIES FYCK, OCCVLTA and PANZERKREUTZ in 2010. All previously mentioned releases, documenting the art of German black metal, have been released on Monokulturell Productions. Each of the releases was limited to 1000 units and that is why you probably have to pry it from the cold, dead hands of the people who own a copy if you want one yourself. Now, just in time for the band's 10th anniversary and due to the fact that a lot of people realized who's behind GOATFUNERAL, Yantit and M.Roth decided to release the complete works again on Massacre Records in 2016. And last but not least, let's talk about the album's title track "Luzifer spricht" for a bit, which is also the final track on the album: The song came into existence in the summer of 2016, exactly 10 years after the formation of the band... so everything comes full circle.
