Innes Sibun plays high-energy Blues with intense passion, and he's done so from the age of 12 after hearing B.B. King's infamous "Live At The Regal" album. Sibun's high-energy zeal, blistering, straightforward guitar artistry and raggedly sincere vocals at times recall Rory Gallagher. In recent years Sibun's been building momentum with a highly aggressive solo act that, of late, further fuels comparisons to Gallagher through his ability to shred his way through meat'n'potatoes Blues while playing with exacting tone and impassioned fervour. By 1993 Innes was playing guitar for Robert Plant on the latter's "Fate Of Nations" tour throughout America, Europe & South America and Innes can be heard on Plant's "Sixty Six To Timbuktu" and "Nine Lives" albums. In his own right he has recorded over half a dozen albums for various Blues labels. Throughout his career he's opened for Johnny Winter, Peter Green, Ronnie Earl, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Taj Mahal, Chris Farlowe, Walter Trout and many more, and, while in Chicago, played with some of his Blues heroes like Buddy Guy & James Cotton. He also jammed at Antones Blues club in Austin Texas with the legendary Stevie Ray Vaughan's rhythm section: Tommy Shannon and Chris Layton, a.k.a. Double Trouble, as well as with Chris Duarte & other Austin Blues-luminaries. Whether playing one of his exhilarating live shows, or recording in the studio, Innes Sibun's performances are always rocket-fuelled. A master of the Blues-Rock guitar, the man can also carry a tune; being gifted with one of those rare voices that sound genuinely hard-earned and authentic and that can go from a ravaged whisper to a screaming bluesy growl, sending shivers down your spine. His flair for observational writing furthermore means that when Sibun dips into anyone else's back catalogue, it's by choice and not from necessity. Sibun has refined his craft with each new release and his band's reputation as a dazzling live act is picking up steam across the globe.
