In the 70 years Karthago were the spearhead of the German rock. "Second Step" in 1972 was the band's breakthrough to their national and international career With its precise and stylistically diverse rock, "Second Step" was more than most of the international comparisons had to offer. Or as the German magazine "Sounds" then wrote: "Second Step, a record, with which the group has made three steps ." The album was out of print for years, and a much sought-after collector's item. Now it is finally available again - digitally remastered with two bonus tracks and extensive liner notes of the manager Cornelius Hudalla and many unpublished photos.
