Lucia Comnes is a singer, songwriter, fiddler & guitarist with a 'singular voice' (SF Chronicle) whose atmospheric roots music crosses genres of Americana, Folk, Celtic, Bluegrass, Rock & Alternative. Born in San Francisco, she is known internationally for her contemporary interpretations of Irish, Balkan and American folk music and for her original songs, which reflect her many influences. Lucia's debut album as a songwriter, 'Love, Hope & Tyranny' showcases 13 of her original songs with an impressive list of contributors, including background vocals from the delightful T Sisters. Recorded in California at Berkeley's historic Fantasy Studios, the album was produced by Jeffrey Wood (Luka Bloom, Penelope Houston) and Gawain Mathews. Track 1 - 'No Hiding Place' - was recognised with two notable awards by the Dallas Songwriters Association in Texas.
