Ever since the beginning of the 90's, Jörg M. Knittel had the idea to form a death metal band in the vein of Bolt Thrower, Massacre or the early Celtic Frost. But it took him several years until he found the perfect line-up. The debut album "Massive Brutality" was recorded at the House Of Music in Winterbach, Germany in October 2000. This death metal masterpiece was engineered and mixed by Achim Kashler (Pungent Stench, Totenmond, etc.), and was released in April 2001 via Vile Music / Zomba. René Pfeiffer was forced to end his musical career in the summer of 2001 due to severe tinnitus. A few weeks later, MY DARKEST HATE was able to come up with two new musicians: Chris Simper on vocals (ex-Pale, ex-Disinfect) and Oliver Schort on bass. Following the release of their debut, MY DARKEST HATE received offers from several bigger record companies, and finally decided to sign with Massacre Records. The band once again entered the House Of Music studio to record the follow-up "To Whom It May Concern" in the summer of 2002. Besides an excellent production, this album showcases further improvement in songwriting, and was released on October 28, 2002. After many successful live shows, the band began writing new songs for the third album "At War", which was released in May 2004. Travis Smith (Nevermore, Opeth, Malevolent Creation) was responsible for the cover artwork, and the album's first edition also included a bonus DVD with a studio report, the "Catch The Bullet" video clip as well as live footage! In November 2005, the band teamed up with producer Andy Classen (Dew-Scented, Krisiun etc.) to record the album "Combat Area" at Stage-One-Studio, which was released in March 2006 via Massacre Records. Following a longer break, MY DARKEST HATE is finally back with the new and fifth album "Anger Temple"! Expect nothing less than nine anthems of anger and hate, with a massive production by Alexander Schoffer at Royal Ace Sounds! No experiments, no compromises!
