Sandro Dominelli is one of Canada's most creative, talented and tasteful drummers. Through his continuing success as a much sought-after composer, bandleader, session player, and producer, he has proven to be an established luminary in the Canadian music scene. He is a JUNO Award nominee and Western Canadian Music Award winner. The path of Dominelli's music has been heavily infused by Latin American and Eastern cultures. A talent for intuitively feeling the rhythmic structure of the music and an interest in creating new intricate and culturally-influenced rhythms sparked a long standing career in music practice and composition. "Here and Now" is the latest offering that combines this unique compositional style into a jazz power trio format. "Here and Now" was recorded in December 2017 with his trio comprising New York jazz stars Rez Abbasi (guitar) and Chris Tarry (bass).
