'The Lost Albums', as the name suggests, are two albums ('Treachery' and 'The Invisible Man') recorded for Atco as follow-ups for the highly successful 'Fresh Blood' album (1980) that reached #3 in the US radio play charts. For some unknown reasons, Steve was dropped by Atco before any of those tracks could see the light of day. For many years, it seemed that no-one was quite sure if those albums actually existed, apart from Steve and the musicians who recorded with him. But they became almost mythic because no-one had ever heard them and more to the point, no tapes seemed to exist. After a long search through the vaults of Atco and Universal, the masters were finally found. And here they are, 23 tracks sounding just as fresh as the day they were recorded thanks to a digital remastering by Jean-Raphael Dedieu and Mike Pela. With Steve Swindells who sings and plays keyboards and synths, there is the Big Country's rhythm section of Tony Butlerand Mark Brzezicki, Simon Townshend of The Who (and Pete's brother) on guitar and Steve Mann of The Sweet (also ex-Liar, Lionheart and The Schenker Group) also on guitar. Roger Daltrey recorded 'Treachery' and 'Martyrs And Madmen' for his solo album 'Best Bits' (1982). ENJOY!
