Tracey McFadden a Chicago native is an anointed singer and songwriter who understands her gifts are to be used to glorify God. She began singing at the age of (9) in the Christian Fellowship Church Choir. Tracey received her musical instruction under the tutelage of her parents Reverend Kenneth H. Gunn a well-known director and the renowned Dorothy Gunn one of Chicago's gospel music legends. Her vast amount of musical experience encompasses directing, vocal training as well as Worship Leader. Tracey has lended her lead and background talents to other artists for studio work as well as local and international tours. Bob Marovich from Journal of Gospel Music stated Chicagoan Tracey McFadden's debut album, assembled a solid choir of background vocalists who support her thoroughly throughout. The musicians also offer powerful assistance without overpowering the vocals. While the album contains a mix of uptempo praisers and balladic works, the latter seem to be McFadden's sweet spot. "There's No Other Name" enables her to stretch out without the confines of a speedy tempo. The same holds true on "I'm Thirsty," a call for the water of life. "You Are," written by the album's producer, Daniel Hardy, holds the most radio potential because everything--lyrics, tempo, mood--comes together on this selection. If you love traditional gospel music with a worship experience, this album is for you!
