Glen Burtnik (Lefty Weekling) is a platinum and gold record awarded song writer, having composed songs for John Waite, Styx, Randy Travis, Marshall Crenshaw, Patty Smyth and Don Henley. Glen started his career portraying Paul McCartney in the Broadway production of Beatlemania, and went on to perform as a member of major national acts including Styx, Electric Light Orchestra, and the Fab Faux. Renowned for his knowledge and love of The Beatles' music, Glen is currently musical director for high-production "Beatle Bash" theatre shows, and also appears at Beatles conventions throughout the U.S.A. Bob Burger (Zeek Weekling) is also gold record song writer whose credits include Styx, Donnie Iris, HBO pictures, Kasim Sulton and others. Bob has performed with the likes of Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel and Jon Bon Jovi, as well as with Glen Burtnik in numerous Beatles Bash shows. John Merjave (Rocky Weekling) is a longstanding member of the "BeatleFest" house band and other national shows performing with Billy Preston, Donovan, Denny Laine and many others. Dave Anthony (Ramblin' Dave Weekling) is a master of the "Ringo" drumming style, and is a highly sought studio/live drummer having performed with such greats as Billy Joel, Dennis DeYoung, John Waite and Joan Osborne. The quartet known as "The Weeklings" perform the music of The Beatles with infectious passion and enthusiasm. This is a true time-warp - straight into the heyday of the 'beat' sound of the Mersey groups. The Weeklings have recorded in a true vintage method, circa 1963. This technique brings out the raw energy of musicianship and singing that we love from the reco

Merseybeat has dusted off its Beatleboots, pulled the guitars and drums out of storage, polished up a handful of old songs, created some new melodies and still sounds invigorating 50 years later

On their debut, self titled album, The Weeklings do great justice to a deft combination of songs that Lennon and McCartney 'forgot', and some 'That Thing You Do' originals...all in glorious mono! One listen will have you grabbing for your dancing shoes

Nicely done my friend! 'Little Tease' was my favorite. All tunes sounded straight from the early '60's. OK, which are Lennon-McCartney and which are Burtnik-Burger? I wont even venture a guess.

Fantastic, aggressive pickin' and singing with that unmistakeable 60s sound. Unless your a total Beatle freak - and therefore you already know - it's impossible to tell which tracks are Beatles originals and which are Weeklies originals. If all these song wereIf all these songs weren't actually written by the Beatles then maybe they should have been!'

The Weeklings blew my mind. I was transported back to my high school in Prague where every morning we would blast this beautiful music throughout the building to get ready to face the day!
