Sweet St. Patrick's Sounds - Four Celtic Voices and Celeste Ray
In the spirit of St. Patrick's Day and traditional Irish music come two newly distributed MVD Audio releases: Four Celtic Voices "Four Leaf Clover" and Celeste Ray Ensemble "Strings Of Gold". These albums make the perfect addition to any St. Patrick's Day celebration!
"Four Leaf Clover" by Four Celtic Voices with Celeste Ray & Erin Hill, debuted at #1 on the Billboard World chart, in the Top Ten on multiple Heatseeker charts, and in the Top 40 on the Independent chart. The 2009 album features a mix of Celtic traditionals ("Danny Boy," "Molly Malone") and Celtic originals (the Enya-like "Angels" and instrumental dances), with vocals, harp, psaltery, harmonium, flute, bass and drums.
On "Strings Of Gold," Celeste Ray Ensemble blends Folk music with traditional Celtic songs, ballads and upbeat Irish step dance tunes. A tribute to keeping traditional music alive and well. Also included are three original pieces in Celtic/World genre featuring voice and Bowed Psaltery. In the spirit of Riverdance and Loreena McKennitt.
The Los Angeles Times states, "Celeste's voice is a warm and pleasant instrument. One of Celeste's distinctive calling cards is her skill with the bowed psaltery… The sound is at once fresh and other-wordly."
