Klanggalerie was founded in 1993 out of the ashes of Syntactic. In its early days, Klanggalerie specialized in very limited edition 7“ singles, but soon switched to CDs and albums. For over 20 years now, the label has collaborated with many experimental artists and groups from all music genres. Highlights in the catalogue include works by Nurse With Wound, a remix album for UK post punk legend and Joy Division label mates Section 25 (which amongst others included the first new works by 23 Skidoo and Renaldo & The Loaf!), various albums by The Residents and their UK friends Renaldo & The Loaf, and a new album by electronic pioneer Thomas Leer.
