In the early 1990s, a 32-year-old psychotherapist (Seth Landau, Take Out) began to suspect that his small Arizona community was being taken over by a homicidal religious cult known as "The Bryans". His entire ordeal was captured on camcorder footage and security tapes. They are the video musings of a highly disturbed young man. This is what was recovered.

George Wendt ("Cheers", House), Tony Todd (Candyman), Tiffany Shepis (Abominable) and Daniel Roebuck (The Fugitive) co-star along with cameos by Lloyd Kaufman (Guardians of the Galaxy), Chuck Williams (Bubba Ho-Tep), Bobby Slayton (Bandits) and scream queen Brinke Stevens (The Slumber Party Massacre) in this disturbing chiller based on the 1993 true story that shocked America.

     —Michael Gingold, Rue Morgue

This tale of cults and the influence they have on the unsuspecting is, in many ways, prophetic … who would have thought in 2008 that so many frightened people would don masks and trudge like zombies through their local Wal-Mart convinced — or programmed — into thinking that the masks they are wearing will ward-off evil (an unseen virus).

     —DVD And Blu-ray Release Report

However, I did feel Landau produced a credible account here, to a certain extent, of how spooky and terrifying such an ordeal could be when one is trapped within such an established cult willing to resort to drastic measures to seize one’s soul and mind.

I especially enjoyed the interview with familiar character actor Daniel Roebuck, which turns into an fun conversation between a couple of movie nerds.
