After working with Kyle Hill on the second 31Ø8 album back in 2017, we're really excited to be able to release his third album! Like the two that came before, this one is also frustratingly self-titled - simply known as "31Ø8 (YLW)" - but I guess when you're dealing with someone who diabolically put a special character in their band name, can you say you're surprised? In any case, this new batch of songs is probably Kyle's best yet, showing that he's continuing to improve his sound and style, which is best described as a mixture of fuzzy/lo-fi indie rock and electropop. Imagine, if you will, that during the recording of "Automatic", Norman Blake replaced one of the Reid brothers in the Jesus And Mary Chain. Or, how about if Cabaret Voltaire decided to imitate the Human League back in 1981. Loop on uppers? Whatever Kyle's going for, these ten songs are as incessantly catchy as they are effortlessly cool...
