The idea for ANACHORET goes back a long way. The first ideas were born in 2009, which led to the demo "am Rander aller Lichter" in 2011. The EP "Horizont" followed in 2015, as well as a split with Idisenflich and another split with Urgewalt in 2017. But after that, ANACHORET went dormant for the time being. It wasn't until 2019 that K.C. began to devote the necessary attention to his solo project again. The basic structures for the songs that can now be found on the debut album "Syndrom" were created. But due to a forced break in 2020, the recordings had to rest and could not be completed until 2021. However, K.C. used the time to polish the songs even further and thus achieve an even more intense result. "Syndrom" is the struggle with inner demons. The expression of inner conflict, the feeling of homelessness and the transience of life. At the same time, ANACHORET is not only animated by negative feelings. For where there is shadow, there is also light. The beauty and permanence of nature, which characterises the album and can be found in the more epic moments of the work, flashes up again and again - and showsus once more that man should live in humility with nature. This is wonderfully reflected in ANACHORET's melancholic and sublime atmospheric Black Metal. Lyrically, K.C. devotes himself above all to personal experiences and emotions, which are given a lyrical framework in metaphors from nature. Hand in hand with the artist's musical work, this results in a coherent symbiosis, dedicated to life, death and the Alpine country, the home of the solo artist.
