The thirteenth studio album by one of Russia's most famous metal group, Aria is entitled Curse Of The Seas (in Russian "Проклятье морей") and includes eleven brand new songs. The mixing of the album was made by the famous American producer and guitarist Roy Z, who has worked with Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford, Judas Priest, Sepultura, Sebastian Bach and many other artists. Mastering was done by Maor Appelbaum (Yngwie Malmsteen, Lita Ford, Faith No More, Rob Halford, Yes). The band has already announced the first dates of their tour in support of the album. The concerts started in Nizhny Novgorod on February 15, 2019 and will cover a huge number of cities in Russia and beyond. For the first part of the tour, Aria will play concerts in Saransk, Penza, Ulyanovsk, Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Ufa, Magnitogorsk, Orenburg, Samara, Saratov. "By the look of things listening to the new Aria album is a must since the album is a killer one. I have to say I didn't know what to expect, maybe some generic classic metal, but what I heard was beyond my expectations. No, Aria do not reinvent the wheel, but they do present as an album that can fulfill the highest expectations. Modern but not to the point to lose its classic heavy character, Curse Of The Seas is an excellent composed and performed album that combines the best traits of the American and European metal scene." - Forgotten Scroll "This is heavy metal finished to a very high standard, and if the old school is your school then many delights reside within this album's grooves." - Sentinel Daily "Aria are certainly Russia's hidden secret and it beggars belief that they would have so many albums under their belts playing a style of music that is directly influenced by British metal and they're barely known on these shores. Hopefully that will change with this release as they have talent by the bucket load." - gbhbl.com
