It also contains some of Arlen's best solo pieces such as "When a Man Loves a Woman," "A Whiter Shade of Pale" and "No Woman, No Cry.""Hot Licks Among Friends": The Making of Toolin' Around is a rare video glimpse into some historic recording sessions during the making of Arlen Roth's original 1993 release in Nashville, and in Woodstock. This album was recorded from 1989 to 1993, and this movie documents Arlen in the studio with his fellow players such as DANNY GATTON, ALBERT LEE, DUANE EDDY, DUKE ROBILLARD, BRIAN SETZER, JERRY DOUGLAS, SAM BUSH and BILL LLOYD. It also has precious footage of the great "COWBOY" JACK CLEMENT (original engineer on the Sun recordings) doing some incredible morning jam sessions with Arlen and with Duane Eddy. This film is the perfect compliment to this historic album, as it also captures some of the historic sidemen on this record, such as keyboardist LARRY KNECHTAL, of "Wrecking Crew" fame, as well as the great drummer Kenny Malone, bassist Roy Huskey, Jr. and Michael Braun. Truly a must for any guitarist's collection, and the perfect companion to this amazing record. Also contains the music video for Arlen's "'56 Buick Roadmasters from Space" featuring his daughters Lexie Roth and the late Gillian Roth.
