An American from Cincinnati, Bill Ramsey came to Europe via the US military -and stayed to make records and a career as a singer, comedian, TV host, and more. During the '50s, '60s, and '70s he was one of the most popular stars of light music in Germany. It is often forgotten that he is also one of the most excellent jazz, swing, and blues singers of his time.
