We at Jigsaw LOVE to get demos, and this EP comes from one such demo we received last year and quite liked! Caramel Snow is the work of one fellow named Michael, and his music reminds me of a combination of two other one-man projects I love: Simple Carnival and (early) Orange Cake Mix. These five songs comprise sixteen minutes of easy-going pop that sounds like it could be demos from early '70s-era Harry Nilsson; mostly keyboard and drum machine-based, though you'll find some effected-guitars here and there. And to think all this resulted from a nice little package in our mailbox!
