The first titles in his own name were recorded in 1956. From 1958 Drewo also worked as sideman for Paul Kuhn, Max Greger and other German orchestra conductors and co-founder of the Clarke/Boland Big Band. In the 70s and early 80s he worked with Art Farmer and Peter Herbolzheimer. These rare sessions were recorded for German radio and feature Drewo as a member of quartet, quintet and septet line-ups. These previously unreleased live recordings were newly remastered for optimal sound.
