Inspired by Janis Joplin, Rival Sons, and the free lovin' spirit of 1969's legendary Woodstock Festival, Children of the Sün embody both the carefree and reflective sides of classic rock music. In 2019 the band released their first full-length album "Flowers" which was received with great love from the audience and the vinyl sold out just a few months after the release. And now they're back with their second full-length album, and the natural progression of their story, "Roots". Psychedelic retro meets indie rock and blues rock, all topped by colorful, multi layered vocal harmonies.

'Roots' inhales the sound of the 70s and brings it to the here and now. Really good stuff from the North.

Children Of The Sün have truly taken retro to heart, and it's a sight to behold

     —The Sleeping Shaman, https://www.thesleepingshaman.com/reviews/children

Overall, the album is a great follow up to their 2019 album, Flowers, the direct evolution of their music, and of what they wanted to create, bringing life back to the era of Woodstock and the summer of love, and what feelings were hidden underneath...

It's a trip, a real trip. Excelent trip...

     —Metal Addicts, https://metaladdicts.com/children-of-the-sun-roots

Even though one can hear their influences, they manage to convince with their modern as well as atmospheric interpretation, standing on their own feet. 'Roots' is a great listen, and in times like these, this album and its spirit is even more balm for...

     —Mostly Metal, https://mostly-metal.net/Children_of_the_Sun-Roots

People who like retro rock should absolutely give this band a listen, because it would be stupid to not do that.

     —Hard Rock Info, http://www.hardrockinfo.com/reviews/2022/march.htm

Roots is an album that made a huge impact on me and I can see this being a timeless album in it's own right. If this is any indication of where Children of the Sun are heading, it won't be long before the world knows of this fantastic band

     —Southeast of heaven, https://www.southeastofheaven.com/?p=20445&fbclid=

While waiting for a time machine that can take us to the Woodstock festival in 1969, the Arvika sextet's heavenly glorious rock works perfectly as a pastime.

     —Aftonbladet, https://www.aftonbladet.se/nojesbladet/musik/a/Ll3

On their second album, Roots, the group succeeds in combining good melodic ideas with a rock that is clearly influenced by the psychedelia of the late 1960s. The spotlights are all on the incredible singer Josefina Berglund Ekholm, owner of a voice that..
