Almost Certainly Dreaming features Chris Tarry on electric bass, Henry Hey on Piano & Rhodes, Kelly Jefferson on sax, Pete McCann on guitar, and Dan Weiss on Drums. The overall mode of the album is explorative, and dreamy. The songs tend to have a lot of interesting little parts that flow nicely together and feature solos from the sax, piano, and guitar players. The music is fairly accessible on your first few listens. At times the music reminds me of Sonny Rollins' "the bridge" and at other times it reminds me of Chris Potter's underground, and Al DiMeola's Splendido Hotel. The guitar, piano, and sax lines are really well integrated. The song writing is the highlight of this album. Each song has many different themes and subparts there are laced together very nicely.
