THE WORLDWIDE UHD PREMIERE RESTORED FROM THE ORIGINAL NEGATIVE WITH 5+ HOURS OF NEW SPECIAL FEATURES INCLUDING THE DOCUMENTARY DRÁCULA BARCELONA PLUS BRUNO NICOLAI SOUNDTRACK CD AND MORE

In early 2023, a Madrid film archivist made a startling discovery: the uncut camera negative of COUNT DRACULA, in pristine condition and untouched for over 50 years. This gothic masterpiece from writer/director Jess Franco can now be experienced like never before, from its brilliant performances by Christopher Lee as the Count, Herbert Lom as Van Helsing, Soledad Miranda as Lucy, Maria Rohm as Mina and Klaus Kinski as Renfield to its sumptuously unnerving cinematography and eerie Bruno Nicolai score. COUNT DRACULA is newly scanned in 4K with over five total hours of Special Features, including the U.S. Premiere of Carles Prats' 2017 documentary DRÁCULA BARCELONA, which chronicles the simultaneous filming of VAMPIR-CUADECUC by Pere Portabella and Franco's horror classic.

    Press Quotes

A world of nightmare made flesh... Jess Franco's Dracula is a moody blend of dark passion and mystery. His creative stamp is apparent in every frame.

         —SexGoreMutants

Definitely recommended... Franco fan or not, COUNT DRACULA is a solid film and Severin's presentation is impressive, even by their own very high standards.

         —Screen Anarchy

A formidable version of Dracula... An atmospheric horror movie with a classic monster played by one of the greatest actors of our time.

         —At the Mansion of Madness

A unique spin on the world's most famous vampire tale.

         —Mondo Digital

★★★★ Very creepy and entertaining... Christopher Lee provides a new take on his signature character, and Severin has done a fantastic job.

         —High-Def Digest

A must-buy for any horror fan... Glorious sets, luscious photography, and Lee's performance is superb. It's still the movie that remains closest to Stoker's book.

         —Cult Movie Reviews

Lee and Kinski steal the show... A handsomely shot film with great locations, a fantastic cast, and Bruno Nicolai's unusually eerie score.

         —Rock! Shock! Pop!

This is definitely a Franco film... The visuals are wonderfully dreamy, Kinski is compelling in his insane way, and Lee finally appears to be enjoying the role of Dracula.

         —Through the Shattered Lens

A gem of a Dracula movie... It is very much a Jess Franco film, as overtly sexual as anything else in the director's oeuvre.

         —Wicked Horror
