The grounding yoga sequence is designed to open, balance, and build strength in the lower body specifically. As we become more connected to our lower body, legs, and the soles of the feet, we start to feel more grounded with the earth. That earth energy will help to strengthen your roots in your community and your family, your home and career. This practice is open to all levels of ability. Remember to always listen to your body and stay connected to your breath. Inner thighs are the contralateral muscle group to the hips, and are neglected often in yoga practice and stretching routines. For this reason, they tend to get very tight. In this "all levels" video sequence you will learn a variety of ways to open the inner thighs while strengthening the legs. I have added work to activate the first and second chakra energies as well. Remember, always breathe through the pain, and it will get better with time. Stick with it and you will see great results. Consistency is the key. It is in the hips that we store emotion, so to stretch and focus on releasing tension from the hips can be very transformational for your energy and emotions. This practice is designed for all levels of ability and will help you to create more flexibility, release tension and stress, and feel more liberated in the area of your hips. Remember to relax.
