Italian four-piece Deaf Lingo returns with their second studio album "Lingonberry", their first release on Lövely Records (Sweet Teeth, Rotten Mind, Nightwatchers, etc). Combining melodic punk, lo-fi garage, and bittersweet indie, the release showcases a unique blend of alternative rock. "Lingonberry" offers a fresh sound that's both direct, zestful, and warm while communicating a sense of underlying, unfiltered downheartedness. Embodying themes such as alienation, separation, and apathy with a lively and energetic approach. The album includes 10 tracks, moving from bittersweet and longing indie punk to heavier, more straightforward rock breakdowns. "Lingonberry" was recorded at EDAC Studio by Davide Lasala and Andrea Fognini, and mastered at Sun Room by Dan Coutant.

Press Quotes

I would put this album high on my list of Breakthrough Artists of the year, because this album is fantastic and the recording, mixing and mastering is done really well. It's all around a great album

     —Powered By Rock, https://poweredbyrock.com/blogs/rockingblog/deaf-l

From the opener 'Release,' through 'Friends' to the closing title track, Speccia and the rest of the band never ease the energy level, but garnish it with enough good melody to make it palpable even for those listeners that rarely opt for post-punk...

     —Rock at Night, https://www.rockatnight.com/2022/05/review-garage-

Deaf Lingo's blend of garage & indie rock into a punk concoction makes for a sound that I instantly gravitate to. The melodic structures present in each song make for an excellent listening experience as well. It's everything I want to hear in a rock band

     —Rock n Heavy, https://rocknheavy.net/robs-album-of-the-week-deaf

this album is a candidate for my Best of 2022 list.

     —Jersey Beat, https://www.jerseybeat.com/paulsilver.html

Deaf Lingo feels like a band on its way up, catching its songwriting groove and finding its way with growing assurance

     —Dusted Magazine, https://dustedmagazine.tumblr.com/post/68225650211

Deaf Lingo take the best of 70's punk and decline it according to the sounds of grunge with the result of a fresh and direct record that could become a little 'classic'

     —bassafedelta, https://bassafedelta.tumblr.com/post/6829738726881

The Milanese quartet plays smoothly with splinters of disturbed electricity, lining up ten never so pleasant hits in less than half an hour. (...) The sound is pleasantly abrasive, drenched in lots of beautiful strong, surprising melodies. (Translation)
