I was commissioned by Director Michael Pressman to score his film "Frankie and Johnny are Married" . A true story about Pressman's faltering marriage, and an actor who fell in love with his wife during the staging of the play. Michael Pressman wanted a Jazz score, with some sultry blues music for some of the scenes. I was fortunate to get the very best musicians in the world to play my compositions. I also adapted and arranged two pieces by Claude Debussy, "Clair De Lune", and "Reverie" I hired Pianist Mike Melvoin, Bassist Brian Bromberg, Drummer Mike Stephans, Saxophonist Plas Johnson, Trumpeter Steve Hofstetter, and I played the Guitar. We recorded live at Clear Lake Audio in Burbank, California. I had a little fun with Ravel's "Bolero" for the scene where the actor is telling Pressman that he wants to ravage his wife!
