Following the huge success of the previous album "Marschmusik", and the album chart entry on #11 in Germany - which marks the highest chart entry of the band ever - Germany's leading extreme metal band EISREGEN is going to release its new "Fleischfilm" on May 5, 2017! This is the band's 12th studio album and will be the first ever concept album in the band's history. It's a homage to the wild Italian cinema of the 1970's and early 1980's. Main man M. Roth comments: "We're children of the video rental store generation and grew up with movies by gentlemen like Fulci, Argento, Deodato, Margheriti, D'Amato, Bava and other Italian directors. The movies' soundtracks - created by artists like Ortolani, Frizzi, Gombini, Simonetti - are also unique and fascinating. Those movies have been a huge part of my life ever since, and Eisregen would basically be inconceivable without them. The idea for this album has been on my mind for a very long time and now the time has finally come, to turn those ideas into reality with this album." EISREGEN veterans M. Roth & Yantit are supported by Martin Schirenc (Martin Schirenc Plays Pungent Stench, Hollenthon) on guitar and Markus Stock (Empyrium, The Vision Bleak) on bass, who are also both obsessed with movies from the old era. A huge part of the album recordings as well as the mix and mastering were done at the Klangschmiede Studio E by Markus Stock, who is the band's long-time partner in crime, and where the band records their albums for years now. "Fleischfilm" is a masterpiece, which contains the spirit of said morbid Italian movies in every second of each song and which also features all characteristics that the band from Thuringia, Germany, is known for. It's a monstrous and highly creative album, which has nothing in common with today's mainstream metal. ... now, that the blood has been wiped off the razor and the black gloves were put down, FEGEFEUER is still waiting to see the light of day...
