Eléments is a progressive rock group from France, the project spearheaded by William Desprez. With his debut solo album « Phases » (2020), the singer-guitarist sketched the contours of his musical universe, a writing which fused 70s pop-rock with prog and modern fusion, and sung entirely in French.
With Carlos Fernández on bass guitar, Matthieu Coufrant on drums and Denis Arseneau on keyboards, the Eléments lineup was complete.
In 2022, Maxime Seror took over drumming duties. Live shows and recording sessions punctuated the year in preparation of their new album, « Nouvelle Ere » (New Era).
Eléments straddles the fine line between classic and contemporary prog, with nods to Floyd, to progressive metal, and to the harmonies of jazz fusion. Each album explores different conceptual terrain, yet each features lyrics that excavate the emotions, finding connection in a world that's lost it.
The music invites the listeners on a voyage through a varied and sometimes rugged topography. The project seeks to marry head and heart, with a music that is both learned and accessible, technical and simple, calm and chaotic, and light and shade.
