Two classically-trained musicians from the Salzburg Mozarteum are the anchor of this period ensemble. Estampie uses authentic hand-made instruments to perform medieval and Renaissance music from around the world in a number of ancient languages. In their 20+ year history, Estampie has cemented its legacy as one of Europe's best-known and well-respected medieval performance troupes. "Ondas" is being reissued in a remastered format with new art for the first time in the USA, to coincide with the band's West Coast tour in early August of 2008. Their tour is anchored by an appearance at the FaerieWorlds festival in front of an expected crowd of 10,000 people. Estampie shares principal members with the New Age/Medieval fusion group Qntal, and will appeal to fans of Hildegard Von Bingen, Medieval Baebes, Vox and Dead Can Dance.
