In the late 70's, public interest in British Heavy Rock seemed to be at an all time low. However, that didnt mean groups in this genre weren't active. New bands were still being formed, often from the ashes of old groups and great records continued to be released. Perhaps the best of them all during this time were SLIPSTREAMING and FUTURE TIMES which were released during 1978 and 1980 by the now legendary NICK SIMPER's FANDANGO. Fandango's impressive pedigree in itself ought to have been enough to secure more sales in the UK but this was not to be. In Germany and Holland the albums made the Top 30 so it was not unusual that both albums were recorded in Germany. The players in Fandango came from DEEP PURPLE (NICK SIMPER and WARHORSE PETER PARKS) plus Ron Penny and James Proops. Released for the first time in full on CD plus two singles previously unreleased on CD. There are in total some six tracks that have never before been available on CD.
