The sacred concert itself lasts some 23 minutes and has both text and music by Gaslini; the Te Deum is in three parts and runs for 50 minutes. Mostly is a convincing mix of disciplines. The Concertis more of a concert piece, but the solo voices have a freedom of expression which is different from most liturgical music, and the discreet use of a rhythm section adds an alternative pulse.
