"Hidden Beyond Time" is the debut album by Finnish Heavy Metal group Green King, a 34-minute long experience that showcases the dynamic nature of this four piece. Inspired by the many subgenres of heavy music, "Hidden Beyond Time" moves from hard hitting cuts fueled by chugging, galloping riffs that brings to mind the great metal era of the 70/80s and relentless, Stoner Metal infused adrenaline shots to more mellow, experimental tracks featuring folk inspired melodies. The album was recorded at Beach House rehearsal studio and at Dullas sauna cabin during the year 2020. Mixed by Sakke Vänttinen at Rock Alley Studio.

Press Quotes

The devilishly grooving 'Lifetakers' romps along at the end of this extremely entertaining séance, almost nine minutes through the finish and demonstrates once again, that we can count on this band in the future

     —Legacy, https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sG9g-RoIfi2gfwQra

A true heavy metal attack, 'Where Speedian Dwells' offers thrilling guitar harmonies, chugging riffs, and gutsy vocals communicating a strong anti-nationalist message.

     —Rock You Show, https://rockyoushow.com/finnish-heavy-metal-group-

Deeply rooted in the 'traditional' heavy metal scenes of the '70s and '80s (but with touches of folk and stoner metal), it provides an unadulterated half-hour of grimy throwbacks that beg to be blasted as loudly as possible

     —Metal Sucks, https://www.metalsucks.net/2022/12/19/review-green

Cool, old school doom heaviness! 5/5

     —THE WEEKEND SPORT, https://drive.google.com/file/d/148QDKueY_KhNpqb-F

The material here mostly sounds like something that could have come out between 1980 and 1985, with Iron Maiden, Angel Witch, and Diamond Head being big reference points. To this well-worn approach, they fuse slight folk elements

     —Angry Metal Guy, https://www.angrymetalguy.com/green-king-hidden-be

They draw deeply from the Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and NWOBHM stable

     —The Razors Edge, https://therazorsedge.rocks/2022-12-album-review-g

Green King is hard to resist, especially played loud

     —Musipedia of Metal, https://musipediaofmetal.blogspot.com/2022/12/revi

With this exciting and enticing debut GREEN KING have certainly made a mark for themselves. Hidden Beyond Time on one level provides a solid pastiche of the traditional metal style, and the homage is delivered expertly.

     —Distorted Sound Mag, https://distortedsoundmag.com/album-review-hidden-

However, this four-piece is more than just another flag bearer for the days of the late 70s and early 80s. The blending of additional elements and themes as well as the musicianship sets GREEN KING apart from a collection of bands working a similar angle.

     —Distorted Sound Mag, https://distortedsoundmag.com/album-review-hidden-

Hidden Beyond Time' is an excellent release that can be played repeatedly, and any fan of trad/doom should grab a copy of this because it really will not disappoint

     —Metal Digest, https://metal-digest.com/2022/12/18/green-king-hid

The band plays a modern amalgamation of 1970s hard rock and heavy metal, with slight touches of NWOBHM and sludge metal that gives them their own special edge

     —Metal Injection, https://metalinjection.net/reviews/album-review-gr

A cool and solid debut

     —Powerplay, https://drive.google.com/file/d/1e89y75kyMncS9oZu-

An absolutely great record, with a clearly 'retro' flavor, however never really nostalgic, thanks to their ability to always keep the tension high, skilfully combining the different elements of their compositional style

     —Metal.IT, https://www.metal.it/album.aspx/46900/28210/green-

I need more music like this in my life!

     —Metal Temple, http://www.metal-temple.com/site/catalogues/entry/

Green King definitely without a doubt are stoner/heavy metal. If their intent was to capture a raw 70s sound they have succeeded with 'Hidden Beyond Time'. They will appeal to a listener that not only likes stoner metal but likes it with grittier vocals.

     —wormwood chronicles, https://www.wormwoodchronicles.net/torture-chamber

'Hidden Beyond Time' is a staggeringly good album, and whilst I very rarely review Heavy Metal, this album could have me dipping into these waters a lot more in future

     —Ave Noctum, https://avenoctum.com/2022/12/19/green-king-hidden

Stoner/doom metal style that embraces everything from Iron Maiden to Judas Priest, Black Sabbath to Thin Lizzy, UFO to Angel Witch to synthesize all the best parts into an explosive, heart-thumping collective that's hard to not be swept into and praise

     —Dead Rhetoric, https://deadrhetoric.com/reviews/green-king-hidden

Green King's debut album, Hidden Beyond Time encourages you to Travel Back In Time, to the NWOBHM - in a good way. It's all expertly done, all great fun, and, as a long-playing calling card, introduces a quality band that obviously have a grasp...

     —Ghost Cult Mag, https://www.ghostcultmag.com/album-review-green-ki

Hidden Beyond Time is a brilliantly entertaining release

     —Outlaws of the Sun, https://outlawsofthesun.blogspot.com/2022/12/green

Expertly done, all great fun, and, as a long-playing calling card, introduces a quality band that obviously have a grasp of several genres while strongly suggesting there is much more still to come

     —0dayrox2, https://0dayrox2.org/2022/12/green-king-hidden-bey

A successful debut, I wish there were more albums such as this

     —Heavy Metal Pages, https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iwkVzXL8M7boS-gvd

All fans of Gatekeeper, Saxon, early Manowar or Manilla Road are welcome to check out the Norsemen, you will be richly rewarded

     —Crossfire Metal, http://www.crossfire-metal.de/26530-0-GREEN-KING-H

If you like doomy metal that has some eccentricities along the lines of Cirith Ungol or Sword, you might be in the audience Green King is aiming for

     —The Metal Crypt, https://www.metalcrypt.com/pages/review.php?revid=

Melodic and powerful, very classic Heavy Metal
