Three original albums in a 3 CD package with new sleeve notes. The first of these three albums by the Canadian rock legends, Wheatfield Soul has become a collector's item over the years. The hit 'These Eyes' has an authority which set the standard for the band on their later chart songs. What makes Wheatfield Soul so sought-after is its inventive themes. 'These Eyes' remains timeless, the masterpiece on this creative album . Recorded in the aftermath of Randy Bachman's departure, Share The Land was a better album than anyone expected. It was the biggest selling original LP of their career. Burton Cummings is in excellent voice and the new double lead guitar team of Kurt Winter and Greg Leskiw gave the band a greater range than before. The original album includes two numbers from earlier sessions, 'Palmyra' and 'The Answer', featuring Randy Bachman on guitar. 1969's cleverly titled Canned Wheat introduced several of the band's most remembered songs and still sounds incredibly fresh, a product from the days of classic rock. Burt Cummings' great rock and roll voice keeps the most familiar songs fresh and Randy Bachman's underrated guitar work always serves the songs' needs.
