Hana Beloglavec has a dynamic career performing as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral musician, and teaching at Louisiana State University. In March 2020, Beloglavec performed the Lars-Erik Larsson Trombone Concertino with the U.S. Army Orchestra as a guest artist of the American Trombone Workshop. In summer 2022, she was a guest artist at the International Women's Brass Conference and the Texas Low Brass Academy. Also interested in orchestral music, Beloglavec currently holds an acting principal trombone with the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed as a substitute trombonist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra under. Along with her orchestral performing, Beloglavec toured across the US and the world with all-female brass quintet Seraph Brass as a core member from 2017-2020.

About the composers:

Sometimes referred to as the "Dean of Afro-American Composers," William Grant Still was a prolific black American composer who broke barriers in many ways throughout his career.

American turn of the century trombone-virtuoso and bandmaster Arthur Pryor joined the John Philip Sousa Band in 1892, and he is estimated to have performed over 10,000 solos with the band during his 12-year tenure. Pryor was a prolific composer who wrote works for band, trombone solos, duets, quartets, and sextets.

Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Dorothy Gates currently resides in New York where she is the Senior Music Producer for the Salvation Army's Eastern Territory and is employed as the first woman Composer/Editor of the New York Salvation Staff Band since 2002.

Pergolesi was a prolific composer though he passed away at the age of twenty-six and only composed in his final six years.
