High Tension almost follows the formula that 'Crossfire' used in the '80s by extracting riffs from other bands that heavily influenced them and creating their own style throughout every song. HIGH TENSION is a German Heavy Metal Band, founded in 1980 by A.M. Weisshaar, Tommy Dierstein and Joe Weisshaar. The line-up only changed in May 1986 when the Swiss drummer Marco Roth joined the band. In the beginning the band pIayed - as usual - local gigs in the south part of Germany. But HIGH TENSION developed progressively in which they got a record contract in 1985 from GAMA Musikverlag. The first album was released in October 1985 with title "Warrior" through Hot Blood Records, distributed through Intercord. The commercial success of this first album was not sensational, but the record got favorable reviews. High Tension's second album was recorded in May 1986, titled "Under Tension" through Hot Blood Records, distributed through Teldec. HIGH TENSION music is heavy metal with origins of rock 'n'roll. Every instrument is played with a natural groove and power throughout every song. The album is well produced with great melodies and commercial hooks throughout every song.
