James Brown, also known as the Godfather of Soul and the Hardest Working Man in Show Business, had a career that would put any others in the business to shame. Until his unfortunate demise on Christmas day 2006, he worked tirelessly, writing, recording and performing some of Soul and Funk's true classics. He notched up an impressive seventeen R&B #1's including 'It's A Man's Man's World', 'I Got You (I Feel Good)', 'Make It Funky' and 'Super Bad'. "Gravity" was produced by Dan Hartman (Relight My Fire, Instant Replay, I Can Dream About You) in 1986 due to the phenomenal success of Living In America from the soundtrack to Rocky VI. This single gained the #4 spot in the Pop chart, #10 in the R&B and #5 in the UK. 'How Do You Stop' was the third single release and returned James to the R&B top 10. It is a minor classic in Brown's catalogue and was later covered by none other than Joni Mitchell on her 1994 album Turbulent Indigo. Released in deluxe Super Jewel cases, with bonus tracks, "Gravity" is a must for all Soul, Funk and Dance fans out there!
