Joe returns to his soul/blues roots in spectacular style. He wrote or co-wrote most of the material except for the classic Born in Chicago. There's a stripped-down lineup consisting of Robert Watson on bass, Geno Blacknell Jr. on keyboards, and Willy Jordan on drums. This is mainly a showcase for Walker's stunning slide guitar skills which are notable on Slow Down GTO, Borrowed Time and Slide Her Up And Down. My Judgment Day shows Walker in gritty solo mode and Eight Years Of Loving features him on harp with Blacknell playing boogie woogie piano.
