Produced by 2-time Latin Grammy winner, Sergio Assad, "L'Infidele" is an album of 18th Century German lute music, performed on the 11-String Archguitar by the rising star of the instrument, Jon Mendle. All of the works on the album were arranged for the archguitar by Mr. Mendle. The album includes works by Adam Falckenhagen, Carl Emanuel Philipp Bach and Sylvius Leopold Weiss. Falckenhagen and Weiss should be of a particular interest for guitar fans, as those works are virtually unknown outside of the Lute world.
Since making his Carnegie Hall debut at age 19, Classical guitarist Jon Mendle is becoming widely known for his mastery of the 11-String Archguitar. He's collaborated with YoYo Ma & Silk Road Ensemble, as well as Sergio Assad. His Carnegie Hall debut featured a performance of Jon's own transcription of Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor, a piece originally written for organ, which Jim Tosone of Guitar Review Magazine called, "...a monumental work, performed with a great deal of poise."
Produced by a 2-time Latin Grammy Winner Sergio Assad, Jon Mendle's debut "L'Infidele" is a must have album for all guitar fans, and music fans alike.
