Katana Bloom is an Italian garage hard n'roll band formed in Venice, Italy, in 2012. The current line up is: Thomas on guitar, Nicola on drums, Mylo on vocals and Tore on bass. Since 2013 they composed their own songs and played many gigs in the provinces of Venice, Padua, Vicenza and Treviso, being this a key aspect to them. In late 2015, the band entered RocketBooster Studio (Padua) and recorded their first full length album "Football Won't Save Your Children From Drugs" under the supervision of the musician and sound engineer GG Rock (Kory Clarke, Warrior Soul,The Wankerss, JetGlow Recordings). The sound they captured in "FWSYCFD" has been described as "QOTSA jamming Ramones tracks with The Rolling Stones somewhere in 1990s american movie garage band setting" (Andy Kirk, Power Play Magazine) and "..they mention Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, but no doubt these gentlemen have the records of Motörhead, Ramones, Hellacopters, and Gluecifer in their collection, and they must also have listened to them a lot! In a context in which a certain punk attitude emerges over all [...] echoes of The Cult, but full of personality and verve.." (Stefano Gottardi, Roxx Zone Webzine). "A raw disk, scratchy, made softer by a melodic vocal line that has the successful task of lightening the work of the band from the adrenalinic and energetic ideas."(Sounds Good Webzine). "In Katana Bloom's music, we listen to glam and punk influences. -The Best Way- opens their album with sonic broadsides whipping and a rather strong pace. The sound of the songs is quite dirty and at the same time impetuous and aggressive. How not to hear in Katana Bloom's music a clear influence coming from alternative rock? F.E.A.R. is just overwhelming. The distorted and vibrant voice of singer Mylo is one of the highlights of this band." (Felice Capasso, System Failure Webzine)
