A Lynchian dream infused with prophecy & a spirit of resistance, Luna Honey's third album is a shimmering crash through a Gothic maelstrom. The eight tracks on Ballast are like walking through eight distinctly different rooms in the same grand and haunted house, each has its own mood and style but part of the same greater whole. An album to keep you on your toes and take you deep into a dream you aren't sure is a nightmare. Luna Honey is an east-coast based avant-garde dark rock group opening portals to the subconscious through slow, throbbing beats; screaming electric guitar feedback; and unhinged vocals that drag the listener deep into the depths and into the light again. The group pulls from musical influences from Morton Feldman to Portishead, Swans, and early Pink Floyd.
