Meeco - originally from Berlin, Germany - is a composer and producer based in Paris, France. Playing the piano from an early age on, he started composing, arranging and producing at the age of 16 and soon after worked with some of Berlin's most renowned soul and hip hop artists. In 2009 he released his debut album "AMARGO MEL" featuring guest appearances of jazz greats as RON CARTER, HUBERT LAWS, DAVID "FATHEAD" NEWMAN, EDDIE HENDERSON, CHARLIE MARIANO, DAVID FRIEDMAN amongst others as well as singers from Brazil, Cuba and Spain i.e. ELOISIA, ROLANDO FARIA, OLVIDO RUIZ CASTELLANOS and EVA VENTURA and the album was very well received by the critics in Germany and in the US. Meeco's second album, which was recorded at Clinton recording studios in New York, is scheduled for 2010 featuring ELOISIA on all vocals along with an all-star team of KENNY BARRON on piano, EDDIE HENDERSON on trumpet/flugelhorn, JAMES MOODY on flute, BUSTER WILLIAMS on bass and VINCENT HERRING on alto sax.
