Carles Marigo trained as a classical pianist at the Escola Superior de M sica de Catalunya (ESMuC), with Vladislav Bronevetzky, and at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, with Irina Plotnikova. In his capacity as improvisor, he received advice from Xavier Dotras, Albert Bover, Emilio Molina, Juan de la Rubia, Michael Pisaro, James Fei and Evan Parker. His studies abroad have been supported by grants from CoNCA, CEP and AIE, and thanks to the numerous national and international prizes he has received as a pianist and composer (Eugenia Verdet, Ciutat de Manresa, Ricard Vines, among others). He has received lessons from masters including Nelson Goerner, Elsa Puppulo, Elisabeth Leonskaja, Barry Douglas, Christian Sacharias, Paul Badura-Skoda, Jacques Rouvier, Claudio Mart nez Mehner and Maria Jesus Crespo.

Marco Mezquida has been chosen Musician of the Year by the Association of Jazz and Modern Musicians of Catalonia four times and has performed and / or recorded with jazz legends such as Lee Konitz, Dave Liebman, Carme Canela, Elliot Zigmund and Perico Sambeat. Mezquida has performed at jazz festivals in more than 35 countries worldwide in venues such as Kolner Philarmonie, the Palau de la M sica Catalana, Parco della Musica de Roma, Teatro Cafe des Arts de Paris, the Lope de Vega de Sevilla, the National Auditorium of Madrid, the National Theater of Sarajevo, the Opera of Algeria, the Opera Palace of A Coruna, the Castle of Peralada, the Blue Note of New York, SF jazz of San Francisco, Unterfarht of Munich, Bimhuis of Amsterdam, Pizza Express of London, Sunside from Paris, Moods from Zurich, Porgy and Bess from Vienna, Jamboree from Barcelona and BMC from Budapest.
