Neon Leaves, from County Durham, are a band led by former Penny and The Rims' John Bowes, a band that had a successful single 'Jump & Jerk'/'Mad Men' released on Electro-Beat that earned them a few TV spots and ex-Pagan Ritual, Alan Le Patourel. Pagan Ritual gained a fair amount of success (we wanted to sign them in the mid-80s!) with good reviews in both the NME and Sounds. Pagan Ritual were often compared to the Southern Death Cult with bollocks! This leads us to today's Neon Leaves, formerly known as Ishmael, a band compared to Marillion that has earned rave reviews from Prog Magazine and Progression Magazine. Attached is the current PROG Mag's cover mount CD review on which Neon Leaves has a track called 'Tickertape Nightlife'. Since the publication of the magazine 2 weeks ago, orders for their CD (including US exporters) have shot up through the roof.
