Swedish alternative rock group Omni of Halos enters the stage with their self-titled debut album. "Omni of Halos", a guitar-driven explosion of noisy pop music, contains the four tracks from the 2022 EP "Care Free" (previously only released digitally) from plus six new, until now unreleased songs. This collection of skewed, bittersweet, and beautiful tracks was recorded and produced by Per Stålberg (Division of Laura Lee, Pablo Matisse, etc) in Welfare Studios. Offering a unique mixture of distinct vocals, vibrant rhythms, and rich pedal steel guitar melodies, "Omni of Halos" stands out from its kind while still communicating a sound firmly rooted in the expressive soundscapes of the alternative '80s and '90s. The album was mixed by John Agnello, known for his work with Dinosaur JR, Sonic Youth, and Kurt Vile, to name a few. The band comments: "We just wanted to play massive indie rock with no limitations or influences" says singer, guitarist and songwriter Henrik Hjelt Röstberg. "We aim to be a hard-working band, stay on the road and accomplish memorable live performances where our music is at its best."

Press Quotes

Invitingly warm, intense, grungy and rugged, the Swedish indie-band Omni of Halos launch themselves into the ether as a happy burst of noisy alt-rock, based on solid guitar-driven melodies but then topped with the rich sound of pedal steel!

Teenage me would by the 7 inch of this and listen on a loop as I made voodoo dolls of people I hate. That's the vibe here and I'm here for it.

These amps must go to 13... This song sounds loud with the volume turned down! Omni of Halos drowns the listener in gobs of guitars with their tune 'Birds Follow My Path.' If you're in the mood for some 'I think I will put my head inside this speaker cabinet' grungy noise rock, look no further! It's got a cool little (I mean giant) guitar melody that sets off the wash of exploding cymbals nicely.

Omni of Halos are creating a whole new sound, a new sub-genre, with their musical style, and it's one I really like. Recommended.

With Omni of Halo's self-titled debut on the platter, you undoubtedly get thirty-eight minutes of bouncy pop rock with extra twist by and with seriously qualified musicians

With every listen I've taken the songs have grown and I've really come to like the rather harsh sound that still has enough air to make it more approachable. And then the slide guitar on it; undeniably a slightly odd move that works perfectly and makes...
